Developed to ensure complete operational flexibility without relying on power outlets, it connects wirelessly or via plug-and-play to modern flat-panel digital detectors (DR) and CR systems. Its high-frequency technology and extended battery life ensure instant, ultra-high-resolution images, speeding up diagnosis in any critical scenario.

The Poskom AirRay-20 delivers an output power of 1.6 kW, with an adjustable voltage range from 50 to 90 kV and currents from 8 to 20 mA. What makes it unique is its integration of a fine-focus X-ray tube measuring 1.0 mm, which minimises geometric blur and enhances high-contrast details, enabling sharp imaging of anatomical structures ranging from the human chest to the limbs and complex body regions of small and large animals.
The system is powered by an advanced high-density lithium polymer battery pack coupled with an ultra-capacitor circuit, ensuring consistent X-ray output and delivering up to 100–120 exposures per charge. The AirRay-20 offers flexible, modern charging options, including fast wired charging (fully charged in 1.5–2 hours), wireless charging directly in the carrying case, or power via a 12V cigarette lighter socket in emergency vehicles. The device can also be used while charging.
The design includes an ergonomically angled, adjustable handle and a dual LCD control panel (a main rear display and a mini top display) for monitoring parameters from any angle. For safety and precise exposure, the timed manual collimator is equipped with laser dot pointers to instantly calculate the correct source-to-image distance (SID), incorporates a DAP system for dose measurement, and includes 10 preset anatomical memory programmes (APR). Connectivity is completed by a USB-A port with a native Bluetooth adapter for firmware interlocking and direct communication with DR panel software.
Complete the system with a digital DR detector
The portable generator can be paired with wireless digital detectors, transforming it into a complete portable digital radiography solution. Direct image acquisition eliminates development times and allows the examination to be viewed immediately on a computer, improving the diagnostic workflow and reducing operating times.
Thanks to its compatibility with the panels offered by IBIS, the system can be configured for human applications, providing high image quality, maximum portability and ease of use.
